Julian C. Chambliss is Chair and Professor of History at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. His teaching and research is concerned with real and imagined urban spaces in the United States. His work has appeared in volumes such as Marvel Comics to Film: Essays on Adaptations Since the 1940s, The Ages of Iron Man: Essays on the Armored Avenger in Changing Times, and Critical Survey of Graphic Novels: Heroes and Superheroes. In addition, he has published opinion and commentary in popular forum such as the National Public Radio (NPR), Los Angeles Times, Orlando Sentinel, USAToday, Next American City, PopMatters.com, and SciPulse.Net. He is co-editor and contributing author for Ages of Heroes, Eras of Men: Superheroes and the American Experience (2014).
