Jonas Otterbeck is professor of Islamic Studies at Lund University, Sweden. Otterbeck’s research touches upon issues like: Muslim youth, Islamic discourse, migration to Sweden, the representation of Islam and Muslims, and Islamic pop music. He is the author of numerous books and articles, among them Muslims in western Europe (with J. Nielsen, 2015); “The Sunni Discourse on Music” in van Nieuwkerk et al. (eds) Islam and Popular Culture, 2016; “Islamophobia in Sweden: Politics, Representations, Attitudes and Experiences” (with P. Bevelander) in Helbling (ed.)
